Week 3 of 2009-2010 School Year.

We traveled to Selma, AL this week for an unsual Thursday night game against Central Christian Academy. I heard one of the chain guys say, "All they have is number 21." With all due respect sir, we have a number 5, 10, 20, 22, 23, 55, 88, 33, 56, and a whole slough of others! One thing Eagles football fans know is that games are won by teams, not individuals. By heart and not luck. Final score 62:6...They cut the board off immediately after the final second, so I did not get a shot of it.

Week 2 of 2009-2010 School Year vs. Flint Hill

After the 51 to 0 win last week, Victory faced Flint Hill this Friday Night in what could have been dubbed "Mud Bowl '09". It poured down rain all afternoon providing just enough water for Daylan Hairston #23 to baptize Flint Hill's quarterback when tackling him and they both went out of bounds. Landon Ellis #21 led the offensive effort scoring the first touchdown of the night and followed up with three more and a two point conversion. Our quarterback, Parker Eaves #10, is channeling Tim Tebow on the field by plowing up the yardage himself on several snaps. Our defense held its own with Ben Williams #12 grabbing two sacks and several yards rushing. Nick Hairston #80 recovered a fumble...You are just going to have to come to the next one, there are too many boys doing too much to list here. I will tell you that the offensive effort gave the Eagles another 50+ points game. Final score was 57 to 16. Next week we travel to Selma, AL (yes, Selma.)on Thursday night.

Week 1 of 2009-2010 School Year.

Well, everyone is back to the grind. We kicked off our school year with new faces teaching and in the desks. Pray for us as we begin again the work the Lord has called us to do. Here are a few shots from the game on Friday:
